The Società Dante Alighieri Italian Schools
With an extensive educational programme, the Società Dante Alighieri Italian Schools provide Italian language and culture courses that meet the various needs of the wide range of foreign students they are intended for.
The Italian Schools are located in the historic centres of Rome, Florence, Bologna, Milan and Turin, five wonderful cities among the most popular destinations in the Bel Paese. Their location is central and strategic: easy to reach with public transport and close to the most important tourist attractions of artistic and cultural heritage.
Through coordination with Area Scuole the Italian Schools are a solid point of reference for learning Italian in Italy in compliance with the main European quality standards for learning foreign languages.
Area Scuole develops projects on a national level such as the Marco Polo and Turandot programmes, promotes partnerships with organisations, institutes, companies and embassies and supports didactic planning in schools. They also take part in organising Italiano in Tour, a travelling course for Schools.
The Italian Schools are PLIDA (Progetto di Lingua Italiana Dante Alighieri) certified centres, (https://www.dante.global/it/certificazioni/certificazione-plida) the official certificate of the Società Dante Alighieri that certifies competence of Italian as a foreign language.
