The Dante Alighieri Society, founded as a moral institution in 1889, is a Third Sector Organization. Through a worldwide network spanning 74 countries, the Dante connects 142,000 people who love Italy and its many expressions — from language to culture, from history to art, from cuisine to fashion, and from projects to lifestyles.

Andrea Riccardi

Andrea Riccardi is a historian of the contemporary world and of Christianity. He has been a lecturer at the University of Bari, la Sapienza and Terza University of Rome. Founder of the Community of Sant'Egidio and President of Società Dante Alighieri since 2015.

Dante Alighieri Lab is a limited liability company, with the sole shareholder being Società Dante Alighieri, which operates, as its agent, in the management of services, institutional relations and activities for the promotion of culture and the promotion of the Italian language worldwide.

The company takes care of the management of Dante.global, the digital platform of the Italian language and culture of Società Dante Alighieri, and has among its aims the opening of branches abroad, in particular schools.
